Activity Day

Activity Day is a time when a subsection of the group gathers (typically the first Friday of the month).  Meeting times are from 9am to 12.  During this
time the students will gather in age age/grade groups and have differentt learning sessions.  These may include science, art, literature, P.E.
Class topics vary and depend on available teachers.  We will typically have 30-40 families involved (about 100 children).  This activity does require an
extra fee to cover facility rental and materials.  Activity day is hosted at Liberty Evangelical Free Church.

Choir

Our Homeschool Choir meets weekly on Mondays at New Hope Community Church.  The choir is split by ages (7-11), (12&up).  Each group meets
for an hour.  Our choir director is an educated and paid instructor.  We hold multiple concerts during the year including some concerts
at retirement villages.  Choir also requires an extra fee to cover the costs of the director and building usage.

Field Trips

We attempt to host multiple field trips throughout the year.  We have had many succesful trips in the past to places such as
AE Dairy, Newton Speedway, Pella Fire Station, CoLIne Mfg, etc.  Each trip will have age categories.   General group membership is all that
is required to participate in the trips.

Mom's Meetings

Mom's meetings are a support/social night that occurs many times through the year.  Mom's are highly encouraged to attend.
Food, Fellowship and Fun are part of the evening.  Our goal is to develop relationships so that we can encourage each other on  this journey.

Curriculum Fair

Each year in the early spring we host a curriculum fair.  This event is designed to expose the group to all of the different types of curriculum
that is being utiliized in the group.  The night includes fellowship, sharing and snacks.  It is also a great event to bring along a friend who
might be interested in homeschooling, but still has questions.

Other

Many other events are sponsored through the year.  These include multiple Father/Son, Father/Daughter events, Family Sharing Night (talent show)
Group Picnics, and Graduation ceremony.
